Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Drift is a calm focus timer designed to help users manage focused work sessions. Your privacy is important, and Drift is built to collect as little data as possible.

Data Collection

Drift does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.

Specifically does not collect:

  • Personally identifiable information
  • Browsing history or website content
  • User activity, clicks, or keystrokes
  • Location information
  • Authentication or payment information

Local Storage

Drift uses Chrome’s local storage API to store timer-related information (such as remaining time, timer status, and user preferences) directly on your device. This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to third parties.

Permissions

Drift requests only the permissions required to function:

  • Storage: to save timer state locally
  • Tabs: to show or remove the floating timer on the active tab

Drift does not read page content, track browsing behavior, or monitor user activity.

Third-Party Services

Drift does not use analytics, advertising, tracking tools, or third-party services.

Changes to This Policy

If Drift’s functionality changes in a way that affects user privacy, this policy will be updated accordingly.
